Dr. Kelly McCann is an integrative
physician with board certifications in Internal Medicine, Pediatrics, and Integrative Holistic Medicine. Her patient-care
model includes both conventional allopathic approaches, as well as complementary and alternative evidence-based practices,
which address the biological, environmental, social, and psychological aspects of health.
This patient-centered approach emphasizes the overall body, mind and spirit connection with practices including diet
and nutrition counseling, stress reduction, exercise programs, medical acupuncture, osteopathic manipulation, and meditation
techniques. Dr. McCann passionately pursues a practice of preventive medicine and encourages her patients to maintain a healthy
lifestyle.
Dr. McCann is on staff at Hoag Memorial
Hospital in Newport Beach and provides medical consultations at the Sue and Bill Gross Women's Wellness Center. She is
currently the Integrative Program Development Director responsible for expanding the vision of Hoag’s existing wellness
programs. Dr. McCann practices primary integrative care at the Newport Medical and Wellness Center in Costa Mesa.
Dr. McCann practiced medicine at the Arizona Center for Integrative Medicine where she worked and trained with renowned
Andrew Weil, M.D., as one of 35 distinguished fellows in residence. Dr. Weil, a Harvard-trained physician and director of
the center, pioneered the now rapidly growing field of integrative medicine. He has been on the cover of Time magazine twice,
interviewed by Oprah and is the best-selling author of such books as Natural Medicine, Health and Healing
and Eating Well for Optimum Health.
Dr. McCann received a B.A. in Music from Brown University and a Master’s in Library Science from University
at Albany. She went on to medical school to receive her M.D. and simultaneously earned a Masters in Public Health and
Tropical Medicine at Tulane University in New Orleans. Afterward, she moved to Arizona and completed both an Internal Medicine
residency at Banner Good Samaritan Medical Center and a Pediatrics residency at Phoenix Children's Hospital. As an avid
lifelong learner, Dr. McCann is currently working on a Masters in Spiritual Psychology at the University of Santa Monica and
training for a teaching certificate in yoga.
